Since the invasion of 1959, Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche has been responsible for the re-building and re-establishing of Nangshig Monastery, Tibet. He also founded a school at the monastery, where monks are taught Bön sutra, tantra and Dzogchen.
Rinpoche is the recognized re-incarnation of Chungmo Phowa Tungjug, a high yogi famous in the Amdo region of Tibet. His lineage can be traced back to Tenpa Namkha, a great Dzogchen Master.
Rinpoche is the beloved root teacher of Geshe YongDong.
When our centre, Sherab Chamma Ling, was created in January 2003, Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche and the monks at Nanshig Monastery, Amdo, Tibet, recited many thousands of mantras for our success. The prayers and mantras continue today for our benefit.
